Community Club Network

With Supporters Direct working with a growing number of Clubs owned by their supporters, and with each having their own army of knowledgeable and passionate supporters we are pleased to be able to offer networking events as a means to work together for the mutual benefit of our Clubs.

The first networking event was held on June 21st 2013 at the National Football Centre, St Georges Park, Burton. It was a very productive event with 20 Clubs represented. Amongst the sessions delegates got the chance to hear about FC United’s approach to junior football and AFC Telford United’s success in building partnerships. A number of common areas were discussed and working groups are planned to explore these areas further.

The Community Club Network events are designed to provide Clubs with an opportunity to hear from other Clubs who operate to the same values as well as a range of industry experts. At each event there will be a forum to enable delegates from Clubs to discuss ideas of how Clubs in the Network can work together, and in doing so improve their respective sports.

All community owned clubs in membership with SD will be invited to send up to 4 delegates to future events for free.

Further events are planned for 2013/14 around the UK and Clubs in the network will be notified.

Should you be a Club that isn’t a member of SD but would like to find out more please drop us an email
