Our Fees

SD Club Development is a self-financing consultancy service within Supporters Direct – a non profit distributing Sport Co-operative owned by member sports clubs and supporter groups – it’s not just our business to develop strong community owned sports clubs; it’s our mission.

We have negotiated support from key partners and specialist professionals who like what we do, that enable some of our services to be part funded or subsidised (see below).

Initial discussions and assessments:  We do not charge for initial discussions with potential clients, during which we will assess where we think we can help, what form of support you want, and how this support can be paid for.

Co-operative Enterprise Hub: We are pleased to be a recognised delivery partner for this programme, funded by The Co-operative, which provides business support to new and existing co-operatives across the UK. If your club is considering becoming community-owned, or you are already (be it incorporated or unincorporated), then you could be eligible for support to pay for part or all of our services.

Community shares: We have secured the support of the Premier League Fans Fund to initially work with up to 9 Clubs to explore opportunities of capital funding through share issues. This enables us to provide more upfront support to your Club if Community Shares is relevant.

Fixed price packages: During the assessment we will identify areas where we believe further support would help your Club, and the services we can offer.

Payment by results: In some cases, we will accept payment by results, where our fees are linked to the outcomes we achieve for your club.
